The development board mentioned in the Processor topic is TI's LAUNCHXL2-TMS57012.
It is a low-cost board, $20 USD and it's features include:On board JTAG emulation; support for external emulation.

On board 5v, 3.3v and 1.8 volt regulators; support for external 5v supply.
Pre-loaded with firmware demonstrating some of the fault handling capabilities using on-board buttons, light sensor and jumper to stall the oscillator.

To 50 pin sites (headers not populated) along the board edges exposing connections to the main processor.

Dual 40 pin header sites compliant with TI's "BoosterPack" XL specifications.
Each 40 pin site (one does not have headers populated) provides:
+3.3 volt source
+5.0 volt source
Ground points
8 5v compatible analog inputs
1 SCI/UART TX/RX pair
1 I2C SCL/SDA pair
1 SPI group including MISO/MOSI/CLK and CS pins
Multiple pins to interface with the N2HET, ePWM, TIMER, GPIO and other modules.

Feel free to make comments and discuss this.
